North Korea ups It’s Readiness Posture

North Korea ups It’s Readiness Posture Both Koreas have heightened their alert posture in the wake of the Cheonan sinking recently. The wrong move by either country can result in serious problems for both.

The Chinese have obviously been dragging their feet in the incident. They sent their own team of investigators to look over the evidence but they haven’t announced their determination in the incident yet. They have not condemnd or reprimanded North Korea for sinking the Cheonan as of yet so I think that we can safely assume that they will try to derail any attempt by the South Koreans to have retaliatory actions taken.

South Korea wants North Korea to begin with a public apology but since they say that they didn’t do anything we can safely assume that that won’t happen either.

I don’t know if the United Nations has the Kahunas to take immediate and firm action against North Korea. Even if they tried the Chinese would use their VETO power to block it. This would effectively leave the United States and South Korea to deal with the problem. If not handled correctly this will create a serious international incident. Our custom military ring customers stationed in South Korea are used to being on alert and can handle whatever situation presents itself.
