Two New Jersey men have been Arrested in a Terror Plot

Two New Jersey men have been Arrested in a Terror PlotTwo New Jersey men have been arrested in a plot to go to Somalia and undergo jihadist training in order to kill Americans. The names of the two young men are; Mohamed Alessa, and Carlos Almonte. They wanted to join al-Shabab which is the Somali chapter of al-Qaeda. They had made a previous attempt to join al-Qaeda which was not taken seriously by al-Qaeda leaders. Both young men seem to be living in a terror fantasy. By this I mean that they both liked to wear clothing which they thought identified them with terrorists, and they both like to play video games and watch terrorists videos.

Authorities had been surveiling the two since 2006 and know that they had no known al-Qaeda contacts. They in fact were a couple of wannabes, which leads me to my next point.

Our military ring customers are serving overseas which is fine but the threat of terrorism here at home continues to grow. I’m sure that our Department of Homeland Security has the situation under control, but the trend is for more and more Americans to want to become terrorists. Sooner or later this fact will need to get more of the attention of our own military.
