The Role of the Combat Medic

The Combat Medic is trained to provide first aid to battlefield soldiers and to function in the place of a physician if necessary to assist the wounded.
One thing that you may not realize is that the medic is also the person that the soldier will seek for assistance when sick or wounded in peacetime. Normally combat soldiers report to the medics in peacetime for injuries and normal medical problems such as colds and flu. Medics also administer innoculations and perform routine physical checkups during peacetime.
Combat Medics are assigned to the units that they support and live with those units in peacetime and war. They technically are not fighting men and are (supposed to be) protected under the terms of the Geneva Convention, but we all know how that goes.
Combat Medics are armed like the soldiers that they assist for their own protection. They normally will carry the same rifle, but I have been in units where the medics were armed with pistols instead.
Medics also have the responsibility to monitor the overall health of the unit that they support and sanitary conditions of the unit while it is in the field. I have never met a medic who did not take his job seriously. I have been reprimanded many times by medics in the field for not looking out for my own health.
We have provided every possible choice that we can for the customization of your new Combat Medics Ring. We even have the Combat Medic's Badge as a laser vue design. Those who have served as combat medics deserve to be recognized.
