Mike Mullen Speaks Out about China Admiral Mike Mullen has began to pubicly speak out about the action or lack of action of the Chinese in the Cheonan incident among other things. Someone other than me should have been speaking on these things a long time ago. The Chinese who happen to be North Korea’s biggest ally have failed to condemn or correct them for sinking the Cheonan. If the Chinese would jump in and say something they would have an effect on the actions of the North Korean government. Everything that we have done only causes them to lash out with tough talk.

The biggest thing that Admiral Mullen does is to question the type of modernization of China’s military and their military intentions. Now all of you military ring customers who have been following this blog know that I have been crying long and hard about the same thing for quite a few months. The Chinese are in the middle of their most massive military buildup in history. They claim that their Naval buildup is in line with their new defensive strategy. The problem here is that the weapons that they have been procuring are mainly offensive weapons.

Our Navy ring customers definitely have the technological edge but we do not need to reduce our armed forces at anytime because conflict with the Chinese is a definite possibility.
