The Hawaiian National Guard gets the F-22July 20, 2010 posted by OldWarrioradd comment | read comments (0) The 199th Fighter Squadron of he United States Air Force has been issued the F-22 Raptor to replace the F-15’s that it has been using. The 199th is the first National Guard unit to receive the F-22.
the F-22 will greatly enhance the units capabilities for conducting future warfare. I don’t know how you know about the F-22 but it gets my highest rating as a certified Bad Mama Jamma. The F-22 is the most advanced fighter aircraft in the world. It can successfully engage four enemy aircraft at the same time. It also employs advanced stealth technology. It’s primary use is as a fighter.

The 199th Fighter Squadron is a unit of the Hawaiian Air National Guard stationed at Pearl Harbor Hawaii. Our Air Force military ring customers who are in the National Guard are highly trained. The Air Force invests more into the training of their pilots than the other services invest in the training of their field troops.

Pilot’s skills are perishable and a high degree of training is necessary to keep them sharp. If they are called upon they would have to be able to make an immediate contribution to the battle. There will be no time for training to get them up to speed as there is for field troops brfore they have to go into battle.
