character trait. Those who are creative are normally not content with
the status quo. They don’t think the same way as others who don’t have
creativity.

The creative person is normally a leader who kind of walks to the beat
of his or her own drum. He or she will not be held to the ground by
traditional thinking. This type person may not do well in some types
of jobs. Let me give you an example. I once had an employee who I was about
to fire because she wanted to argue about every task that I assigned
her. I realized that the problem was not really her but I had to learn to
communicate with her a lot differently than I did with the last person
who had her job.

I began to give her the results that I wanted rather than attempting to
make her adhere to a certain process. It worked like a charm. She was
more than capable to think her way through problems that would stump
the average employee. She was the best employee that I ever had in that
position. Now I don’t even tell her which our operating system changes.
She has never failed to figure it out on her own and adapt to the
