The New South Korean Army Chief Vows to do Better The new South Korean Army Chief of Staff has vowed that their forces will be ready to respond to any North Korean provocation in the future, and that the North Koreans will be held responsible for any provocative actions. Now grasshopper you are asking yourself right now why are you harping on this Old Warrior? Who cares at all and what in the world does it have to do with the price of tea in China?
Well grasshopper let my intuition speak to you. After many years in the military, I have developed and honed my BS detecting skills to a high degree. Normally I will say something clever like yeah right. In this case my best BS alarms are not even sounding at all. This guy is scary because he means business. I just don’t detect the tone of empty rhetoric here, This man means just what he is saying. By the way his name is General Hwang Eui-don. Now you know that with a name like Hwang you have got to be a person who means business, because if you don’t you will get laughed out of the place.
He and other top military leaders are being appointed to take the places of those who were fired following the sinking of the Cheonan. The fired leaders were given credible evidence that the incident might occur but they chose to ignore it. The information which they took for granted turned out to be the undoing of the Cheonan.
I have a feeling that the North Korean government has got to know that it can’t pull off anything else like this anytime soon. Although they will be themselves and eventually do something else similar to this. You might ask me how I can say that? Well grasshopper, I can say it because they are who they are and they do what they do.
