China Offers Condolences to South KoreaThe Chinese government has officially offered condolences to South Korea, but were careful not to say anything which could be seen as a reprimand to North Korea. They also went on to say that they would not defend any country guilty of an attack. This sounds good but in the same breath they go on to say that they need to examine the evidence. Now that last sentence is the kicker.
Let me give you my official military ring man asessment of what will happen in this situation. They will use the evidence as their weasel out clause. If they don’t examine it they will say that they themselves have no proof so they don’t have enough information to support action against North Korea. If they do get a chance to examine it they will say that it is inconclusuve which still won’t be enough for them to support sanctions against North Korea.
Now all of this folks is just my prediction of what the situation will be. We will just have to wait and see if I’m right or wrong, but I bet that I’m right. If I am this will be my official I told you so record. I will keep you posted on further developments.
