What in the World was Helen Thomas Thinking?

What in the World was Helen Thomas Thinking?This is just a little bit different from my usual but I just felt inclined to write about it. I really don’t know much about this woman at all so I don’t want to cast any kind of judgement on her character. I have to wonder out loud what in the world she was thinking when she launched into her tirade about the Jews having to leave Palestine.

Now I have always been outspoken and passionate about many things but one lesson that I have finally learned in life is that there some things are better left unsaid. She obviously spoke what she felt and she can say what she wants but some things are best done on your own time and not when you are servin in a highly visible position.

I understand that she was somewhat of a maverick and that is good in it’s place but we have to know when to say when. People can get by with off the cuff behavior sometimes so long that they begin to feel invincible. I don’t know if that is the case here or not but it may have been. I appreciate the fact that the Obama administration has chosen to be low key about the situation. Thats probably the best way to handle it.

I understand that she accomplished some great and wonderful things during her time and its a shame that her career has to end this way
